My constant companion every day since 2009 was my golden retriever Annabelle. She stayed right next to me, in my office, and at night as well. She was always happy to greet me and acted like I had been away for months instead of an hour or two. She still thought it was ok to get in my lap like she could not get close enough. This year we have had a couple of surgeries on tumors that I had hoped would give her a few more years, but things turned bad quickly in the past two weeks. She was brave and loving until her last breath. I will certainly miss her.
